Description of Services Provided: AHNTECH provides all labor, personnel, tools, materials, training, supervision, and other items and services to perform operations and maintenance and support (O, M & S) for the Primary Training Ranges (ACTSs) managed by Air Combat Command. The Primary Training Ranges are located throughout the country.  ACTSs consist of Electronic Combat (EC) Ranges and/or Bombing and Gunnery (B&G) Ranges. The AHNTECH Program Office is located in San Diego, California, and the Air Combat Command Program Office is located at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. EC ranges provide electronic combat (EC) scoring to combat aircrews. B&G ranges include air-to-ground bombing and gunnery targets, support buildings, associated scoring equipment, and remote emitters. These sites provide air-to-ground munitions delivery as well as some electronic combat training.  

Primary Training Range Locations: Primary Training Ranges consist of Electronic Combat Ranges, Electronic Scoring Sites,  and Bombing & Gunnery Ranges at ten geographically separated locations throughout the continental United States.  Locations currently included in the ACTS contract:

  • Bombing and Gunnery Ranges at Avon Park Florida

  • Electronic Scoring Site (ESS) at Belle Fourche, South Dakota (Site location is Wyoming)

  • Bombing and Gunnery Range at Dare County, North Carolina

  • Electronic Scoring Site at Granite Peak, Utah (Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR))

  • Electronic Scoring Site at Snyder Texas

  • Bombing and Gunnery Ranges at Saylor Creek, Idaho

  • Bombing and Gunnery Ranges at Holloman, New Mexico

  • Electronic Combat Range and Bombing and Gunnery Range at Poinsett, South Carolina

  • Range Integration Instrumentation System (RIIS) and  Integrated Tactics Assessment System (ITAS Professional) Software and hardware at Nellis AFB, Nevada;
