AHNTECH was incorporated in 1984 in the State of California by founder and Company President, Sam Ahn, Ph.D. The company continues it's small business mentality and independence without outside ownership or control.
AHNTECH was established as a Small Business Administration (SBA) 8-a company and growth was slow the first few years. In 1989, while under the SBA 8-a program, AHNTECH was awarded prestigious recognition as the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year from Region IX, which consists of Hawaii, California, Nevada and Arizona. The significance of this award is visible when taking into consideration that Region IX is the largest region in addition to having the highest concentration of small business entities that the U.S. Small Business Administration oversees. By 1996, AHNTECH had grown enough to graduate from the SBA 8-a program. Since graduating the SBA 8-a program, AHNTECH has experienced a period of significant growth.

Between 1988 and 1998 the company grew from approximately 20 to over 150 employees and gross revenues grew to just under $12M. During this period AHNTECH was awarded and executed five individual contracts with operating locations from coast to coast. The period between 1998 and 2008 delivered substantial growth for the company. In 1999, AHNTECH was awarded the USAF Air Combat Command's (ACC) Primary Training Ranges contract and the size of the company doubled with the addition of over 10 new operating locations and 150 new employees. This was followed shortly with award of the USAF Air Education and Training Command's (AETC) Air Combat Training System contract which also added significantly to the company's growth with four locations and over 80 new personnel. With award of several other contracts, the company's size has increased to a total of just over 410 employees with a total sales volume over $27M.
Over the past two years, AHNTECH has expanded to a global presence with NATO and South Korean operations and maintenance contracts.
